HALLOWEEN '17

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

I know, two weeks have passed since Halloween, but I still want to share Lyla's costume with you, since her costume was totally rad this year! Originally, she wanted to be a vampire, then a bat, but when her Great Nonna tried convincing her to be a princess she said, and I kid you not, "Sure! I'll be a princess....... a zombie princess!" We started cracking up, because I as a child have said that exact thing. I had planned on her being a bat (hence the bat skirt) but last minute she really wanted to be a zombie princess, and so she was this Halloween, a Zombie Princess -- the prettiest zombie, I've ever laid eyes on.

Also, I've been wanting to address why you guys didn't see any blog posts from me during my favorite month, October, as originally stated in a previous post. I had a lot planned for the month, drafts were written and all. But as you know, tragedy struck in Las Vegas and while I was not at the concert, some of my dearest friends were. Life went on for the majority of the world, but this hit very close to my heart. I will not go into detail, answer any questions or ever discuss this again on my site, so please refrain from asking any questions as they will not be answered. I just wanted to ensure you that blogging is a top priority of mine, as well as sharing my life you, but my first priority will always be family and those I consider family. Sometimes blogging and social media (monetized or not) need to take a backseat, and this was one of those times. However, we did continue our more intimate October by hitting up the pumpkin patch, watching scary movies, apple picking etc, doing halloween makeup etc and we did it all together family+friends and despite everything, the month of October still happened to be my favorite this year, and left me with many things and people to be grateful for this month (and always).
