See Ya Later Alligator : Leaving Florida

Wednesday, July 8, 2015

Well, this is it guys, our time here in Florida is reaching its end. Never in a million years would I have thought I'd find myself comfortable enough here to refer to Florida as "home", but I have, and honestly, I am a little sad to be leaving. In the beginning, it was rough, and I mean really rough. We had so many big changes all happening at once so it was a lot to adjust to, but somehow amidst the chaos, we've managed to find a balance. Life here has recently just felt normal and now it's time to pack everything up and move 3,000 miles west. I am anxious; I am anxious about our move, about the new adjustments will face, finding a new home– I know, I know "It will all work out". However, in the meantime and until we are settled, I will be freaking out.

Besides being a nervous wreck, I am extremely excited to see California in a whole new light. Time away has done my soul justice. The lifestyle I live now is completely different from four years ago, in fact, I am a completely different person. I am in a really good place right now and I am happy with the growth I've accomplished while being in Florida. I cannot wait to explore all of the nooks and crannies that I previously took for granted, but before I get lost in the fantasies of new adventures, I want to show you guys a little of what we have been up to the past few weeks. Enjoy!

On the left is the view of St. Augustine from the rooftop of The White Room where we attended our friends' wedding. On the right is the downtown area of Orlando, Fl from Lake Eola on Fourth Of July right before sundown. If you are in the area for Fourth of July I suggest you coming to this park to watch the fireworks, it was by far the best show I have ever seen.

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens where we celebrated Lyla's 2nd birthday.
