Seeing as I am completely obsessed with Halloween, I thought I'd share a few of my recent Etsy finds with you. I also haven't been been posting lately, so I figured this would be a good way to prompt some creativity, which I have been lacking lately. I'm just at a loss for words; I feel motivated to write, but I just can't seem to be happy with the finished product. Maybe I am a little stressed, tired, or anxious, possibly all three. I mean, I did just move across the country with a two year old, and I am just now getting settled in our new yet temporary home. As I'm writing this, I'm asking myself why I am being so hard on myself, I should be patting myself on the back. Alan will be here this weekend and all of this stress, and anxiety I have built inside me will not only be released, but it will all be worth it.
I never imagined the military life could be so stressful (and I'm just getting a taste of it), but it is, and I have so much respect for all of the ladies who make it look so easy, especially the ones with children who have been doing this for years. It breaks my heart every morning when Lyla wakes up looking for her "Daddy" and she can't quite understand why he's gone. I hope I've been enough for her, but there's a little part of me that will always know that I'm solely not enough for her. She loves her Daddy, so much and she needs him. This is the first time she's been away from him, but not the last. I cannot help but to think about how being away from him will affect her future, because it will inevitably have an impact on her. I just hope when it's time to face those challenges, she knows how much we love her, and how hard we work to be the best parents we possibly can for her.
Well, this has turned out to be less of a short post and more of an emotional rant. However, I feel comfortable with it, and since I'm leaving you with some really cute/creepy Etsy finds, I don't feel so guilty.
